Talk Therapy

Talk therapy (also known as psychotherapy or counseling) provides a supportive space to explore thoughts, emotions, patterns, and life experiences with a trained therapist. In my practice, talk therapy is approached with attention to both emotional and physiological experiences, recognizing that stress, anxiety, and trauma often show up in the body as well as the mind.

Sessions may include reflective conversation alongside gentle awareness of sensations, emotions, and nervous system responses as they arise. This helps create a paced, grounded process where insight and coping strategies develop in a way that feels manageable and supportive. Talk therapy can be helpful for concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and stress, with the goal of improving emotional regulation, increasing self-understanding, and supporting meaningful, sustainable change.

Nature-Based Therapy

Nature-based therapy integrates traditional talk therapy with the grounding and restorative qualities of the natural environment. Sessions take place outdoors at carefully selected locations and may include gentle walking or seated conversation, depending on your comfort and needs.

Working in nature can support regulation, presence, and emotional processing by engaging the body and senses in a natural, calming setting. This approach allows space to explore thoughts and feelings while also noticing how the body responds to movement, environment, and connection. Nature-based therapy can be especially supportive for clients who find it easier to reflect while moving or who feel more at ease outside of a traditional office setting. As with all services, sessions are paced thoughtfully and tailored to support safety, comfort, and therapeutic goals.
